Phi Kappa Psi Outstanding Teacher Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize a professor whom students think is outstanding. Any reason will suffice. Some examples might be teachers who met you outside of class for extra help or teachers who are just very enthused about teaching. Everyone has that one teacher who just stands out. Please help us recognize that professor by answering these quick questions. The winning teacher will win a gift basket filled with gifts from local businesses.

Phi Kappa Psi Pi Beta Phi Rick Rilley 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament April 27th! With the Spring semester upon us, a new philanthropy event arises. This year we decided to organize a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in order to help the Nothing But Nets charity, whose aspirations are to prevent the growing number of malaria infections around the globe. The Nothing But Nets organization raises charitable donations in order to purchase mosquito nets to send to people who reside within areas prone to malaria. The Nothing But Nets organization works closely with NBA Cares, United Nations Foundation, Sports Illustrated, and now the Brothers of Phi Kappa Psi. We are looking to make a significant contribution to the Nothing But Nets organization by hosting this 3-on-3 basketball tournament on April 27, 2008. The event will be hosted at a local gym in the Champaign-Urbana area, and we hope to raise both awareness and money for the Nothing But Nets organization to assist in their prevention of malaria. If you would like you to show your support for our cause by making a donation to our 3-on-3 basketball tournament it would be greatly appreciated. Like our fall philanthropy events, this tournament cannot break ground without outside help. Any donation of funds or prizes would be greatly appreciated, for we will need approximately $1,500 to ensure that our tournament is a success. Our goal for the tournament is to raise $8,000 to donate to the Nothing but Nets charity, and with your support we are sure we can truly make a difference in aiding the prevention of malaria. |
